Format

Grown on a slope of the Etna volcano in a short, traceable, and transparent supply chain, our chili pepper is naturally dried and crushed into flakes, so it is always ready to enrich your dishes with a bold and aromatic touch. Its common name refers to the berry of certain spicy varieties of the Capsicum genus, used in cooking worldwide. It was already added to hot chocolate in Mesoamerican civilization and is the basis of many pre-Hispanic dishes. Today, it is an essential ingredient in the cuisines of Mexico, the Caribbean, Thailand, Peru, Chile, and Bolivia, while in Italy it is widely used for spicy sauces, grilled dishes, curry, and spice powders.

Chili pepper is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C, carotenoids and polyphenols, which contribute to the well-being of the body. Its main active ingredient is capsaicin, the alkaloid responsible for spiciness, which aids digestion and has analgesic properties.

Know who makes it

Sari Azienda Agricola

Sari was born from the dream of Roberto Carbone, a young entrepreneur from Catania who, on the slopes of Etna, transformed a small plot of volcanic land into an oasis of biodiversity. Among the intense scents of medicinal plants and the vivid colors of nature, Roberto cultivates not only the land, but also innovative ideas, remaining deeply connected to his land. Each plant is a tribute to the richness of the Etna territory and to the passion of those who choose to stay and enhance it.
