The Thyme and Orange Powder Mix is born from the combination of 100% natural, grown on the fertile volcanic soils ofEtna, within the the Sari project, which protects biodiversity and highlights Sicilian excellence. This mix combines the citrus freshness ofSicilian orange, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, with the aromatic intensity of thyme, known for its digestive and antibacterial.

Perfect for gourmet gratins, enhances the flavor of oven-baked vegetables, like pumpkin or gratin tomatoes, and is ideal for flavoring bread doughs, focaccias, and crackers. Added to melted butter, it creates a fragrant base for tortellini and first courses, while in risottos it provides a perfect balance between herbal and citrus notes.

A recipe for you

Creamy risotto with thyme and orange

To prepare aRisotto flavoured with thyme and orange powder, chop finely1 small shallotand brown it in a pan with3 tablespoons of Boniviri EVO oilfor a couple of minutes. Add160 g of Carnaroli or Arborio riceand toast it until the grains become translucent. Grate the zest of1 large untreated orange, squeeze the juice and pour it into the rice, then blend with½ glass of dry white wine. Addqb of Boniviri thyme and orange powder mixand a ladle of½ litre of vegetable broth, stirring and adding more broth as it is absorbed. When the rice is almost cooked, season with salt. Once cooked, remove from the heat and stir in20 g salted butterAnd2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese. Plate and decorate with an additional sprinkling of thyme and orange powder to enhance the aromas.
