Za'atar is a fragrant blend of spices native to the Middle East.

Our Za'atar contains sesame, oregano, thyme, wild fennel and salt.

Za'atar is a versatile ingredient, ready to give your dishes a Mediterranean flavor.

All it takes is a pinch to transform your everyday recipes into something special.

Used instead of salt, it adds flavor to dishes and reduces sodium consumption. It contains a mixture of spices and sesame, and less salt.

Consumed daily, za'atar helps to take in micronutrients that are valuable for our health. Sesame is in fact rich in minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins.

1. Try it with bread, bruschetta and focaccia.

Mix it with extra virgin olive oil and dip the bread in it. Try the same oil and za'atar mixture to season the focaccia before baking.

2. Season eggs, yogurt and fresh cheeses.

Sprinkle over scrambled eggs, fried eggs, or poached eggs. Mix with Greek yogurt and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Top with feta, ricotta, or goat cheese.

3. Add a spicy twist to your hummus recipe.

A pinch of za'atar and cumin will give your hummus a tasty new flavor.

4. Create quick and easy snacks for your guests.

Season the drained chickpeas with oil, salt and za'atar and toast them in the oven. Use za'atar instead of salt to flavor the popcorn.

5. Try a new version for baked potatoes

Season with oil and za'atar and mix well before baking.

Know who makes it

Sari Azienda Agricola

Sari was born from the dream of Roberto Carbone, a young entrepreneur from Catania who, on the slopes of Etna, transformed a small plot of volcanic land into an oasis of biodiversity. Among the intense scents of medicinal plants and the vivid colors of nature, Roberto cultivates not only the land, but also innovative ideas, remaining deeply connected to his land. Each plant is a tribute to the richness of the Etna territory and to the passion of those who choose to stay and enhance it.
