Classified as medium fruity, with fresh notes of tomato, accompanied by hints of walnut, green almond, cut grass, and a light artichoke. The "pizzuta" almond from Avola gets its name from its elegant pointed shape and is recognized worldwide for its premium variety. Our natural almonds are simply shelled and sun-dried to preserve their intense flavor.
Traditionally requested for confetti and pastries, these almonds are ideal for breakfast, snacks, or any dish because they are rich in omega-3, vitamin E, protein, and fiber.

Terroir:
Mamertino D.O.C. Riserva is born on the hills of Milazzo, facing the Aeolian Islands. It is named after the Mamertines, who settled in the area during the Roman Empire and began producing this wine.
Grape variety:
Mamertino combines the robustness of Nero d'Avola, the elegance of Nocera, and the complexity of Nerello Mascalese, giving the wine structure and a deeply Sicilian character.
Winemaking:
Extended maceration on the skins and fermentation at controlled temperature (18-24°C) with remontage and délestage. Aged 12 months in 5 hl French oak tonneaux to enrich the aromatic profile.
Tasting:
Mamertino presents a ruby red color with violet reflections. On the palate, it is velvety and well balanced, with sweet notes of plum and cherry. The aroma is intense and reminiscent of dark fruit jam.
Recommended pairings:
With its soft and rounded taste, it enhances first courses with ragù, red meats, and aged cheeses.
Storage:
Serve at 16-18 degrees. Drink immediately or store for up to 3 years.
