Twin Wine – Vitigni di Sicilia è una box pensata per offrire un’esperienza di degustazione consapevole e approfondita.

L’idea alla base è semplice: partire dal vitigno autoctono per conoscere la Sicilia, e attraverso le bottiglie scoprire il lavoro delle cantine e le diverse interpretazioni del territorio.

Ogni selezione propone due vini ottenuti dallo stesso vitigno, ma vinificati in modo differente o da produttori diversi. Il confronto diretto permette di cogliere come clima, suolo e scelte enologiche possano dare origine a risultati anche molto lontani tra loro, pur partendo dalla stessa uva.

Nocera

Il Nocera è un vitigno diffuso nell’area di Milazzo e nei terreni sabbiosi e vulcanici del messinese. Le bottiglie proposte provengono dalla cantina Vigna Nica, a Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, affacciata sulle Isole Eolie.

La naturale freschezza del Nocera consente di vinificare questo vitigno a bacca rossa in interpretazioni originali. Per scoprire la versatilità del Nocera ti consigliamo:

• per assaggiarlo in purezza, lo spumante extra brut prodotto con metodo ancestrale.
• il rosato biodinamico di Vigna Nica, dove Nocera e Nero d'Avola si bilanciano.

Frappato

Vitigno autoctono a bacca rossa coltivato nel ragusano, il Frappato è noto per la sua leggerezza, i profumi fragranti e la bevibilità fluida. Per conoscerlo ti consigliamo due etichette biologiche della cantina Gurrieri di Chiaramonte Gulfi:

• il Frappato in purezza
• il Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG (40% Frappato, 60% Nero d’Avola), unica denominazione DOCG siciliana

Il Grillo è uno dei più rappresentativi vitigni autoctoni a bacca bianca della Sicilia, nato dall’incrocio naturale tra Catarratto e Zibibbo. Per assaggiarlo, proponiamo:

• il Mamertino bianco della cantina Vigna Nica, in cui il Grillo è affiancato dall’Inzolia

Due interpretazioni che evidenziano, da un lato, la freschezza e la linearità del vitigno e, dall’altro, una maggiore complessità ed eleganza.

Nero d’Avola

Vitigno simbolo della Sicilia e protagonista del rilancio dell’enologia dell’isola a partire dagli anni Ottanta. Ti proponiamo di assaggiarlo in purezza e in un blend meno conosciuto e molto particolare:

• il Nero d'Avola della cantina Baglio Diar
• il Mamertino D.O.C. della cantina Vigna Nica, blend antico apprezzato già dagli antichi romani, in cui il Nero d’Avola si unisce al Nocera e al Nerello Mascalese
