Format

The "Pizzuta" almonds from Avola are a prized variety, known throughout the world for their intense flavour, which is released in this lightly toasted version.

They are ideal for a healthy and practical snack, perfect to always take with you, even to the office.

Roasted at 180° for a few minutes, they keep all their nutritional properties intact, such as omega-3, vitamin E, proteins and fibres.

  1. Little water : Pizzuta di Avola almonds require very little water, thus offering a more intense flavour, less exposure to the risk of mould and a reduced water footprint.
  2. Natural preservation : we store almonds in their natural shell, to preserve freshness and nutrients.
  3. Sun drying : The almonds are sun dried using 100% natural processes.
  4. Progressive shelling: to always offer a fresh product.
  5. Last harvest campaign : we only sell almonds from the last harvest.

Our almonds are available in a variety of sizes: from handy pocket-sized ones for a snack on the go, to larger sizes for stocking up.

The elegant, plastic-free jar features an eco-label made from almond scraps. It's refillable when paired with the bulk pack.

Note on vacuum packaging: The 1 kg almonds are vacuum-packed for greater protection and preservation. However, due to the pointed shape of the pointed almond, the bag may become punctured during shipping, causing the vacuum to leak. This does not compromise the quality or freshness of the product in any way. Vacuum packaging is an additional precaution on our part, but it is not essential to guarantee the quality of the almonds.

Sallicano Azienda Agricola

The brothers Sergio and Marianna Sallicano run the family business, which has been active for over a century. The rows of almond trees alternate with olive trees in the countryside of Noto, near the Vendicari nature reserve. Pizzuta di Avola almonds are a prized variety, appreciated for their delicate flavor and nutritional properties, much sought after in pastry making. Those from the Sallicano company are grown organically and dried in the sun to preserve a unique and intense flavor.
