This organic and biodynamic wine is a perfect gift idea for lovers of wine and Sicily.
Terroir:
Mamertino DOC is born on the hills of Milazzo, facing the Aeolian Islands.
It takes its name from the Mamertini, who at the time of the Roman Empire settled in the area and began producing this wine.
Grape variety:
Mamertino combines the robustness of Nero d'Avola, the elegance of Nocera and the complexity of Nerello Mascalese, giving the wine structure and a profoundly Sicilian character.
Tasting:
Ruby red in color with purple reflections, it releases intense notes of undergrowth and blueberry on the nose. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with a light persistence and a complexity that is revealed with every sip.
Recommended pairings
Perfect with saffron risotto, caponata or a legume soup, it pairs beautifully with dishes that enhance the flavours of Mediterranean cuisine.
