Little stories of value

Organic honey from Sicily

Rosario's precious work for the Sicilian black bees

Artale Natura is a Sicilian beekeeping company founded by Rosario, a passionate beekeeper since he was a child. His love for natural honey began at the age of six, when he first saw a swarm swinging on a peach tree, in the heart of the Sicilian countryside. At just ten years old, Rosario began producing his first artisanal honey, thanks to a cupigghiuni (the traditional hive) given to him by his father. By closely observing the behavior of the bees and studying their rhythms inside the hive, he perfected his technique over time, until he became a true expert in the production of high-quality Sicilian honey. Today Artale Natura manages around 600 hives and produces different types of honey, all obtained with natural and environmentally friendly methods. Among the varieties are the delicate orange blossom honey, the prized sulla honey, and the more intense chestnut honey and multi-flower honey, the latter made with the ancient and precious Sicilian black bee, a symbol of the island's biodiversity. Choosing Artale Natura means bringing to the table a genuine, sustainable and local product, the result of ethical, artisanal and responsible beekeeping.
