Precious like ambrosia, this is how we can describe the honey produced by Rosario. Everything made from native Sicilian bees that now risks extinction: the Sicilian black bee. Here in Boniviri we try to protect biodiversity by supporting the small producers. Do you want to know more about our honey?

THE HISTORY

Artale Natura was founded by Rosario. His love for honey started at age of six, when he first saw a swarm swinging on a peach tree in the heart of the Sicilian countryside.
Rosario made his first ever honey at age of 10, when his father gave him what we call Cupigghiuni, or a beehive. Studying the bees, observing what was going on inside the cupigghiuni Rosario perfected his technique to the point of producing different types of honey, from chestnut to the classic millefiori. Today Rosario owns about 600 hives. What makes the difference and characterised his products is love. The love for his job, the attention to details and care for these tiny insects is the magic ingredient for a perfect honey.

BONIVIRI

Boniviri's protocol

Boniviri selects small Italian farms that have three fundamental characteristics

They are creators of excellent products from a qualitative and gastronomic point of view

They are committed to a path of sustainability and social impact

With their work they protect local values and heritage

Boniviri follows the producers during all the cultivation processes, working together with them to guarantee quality and sustainability. For this reason, we developed a shared protocol and a digital platform useful for mapping the performances and highlight our partners attention to the environment.
