Little stories of value

Organic legumes

The unstoppable Mimmo

The Organic Farm Orto di Mimì, located in the heart of Fulgatore in the province of Trapani, is the fruit of the passion and contagious energy of Mimmo Sugamele. In an area rich in agricultural history and peasant vocation, Mimmo organically cultivates rare and precious legumes, true guardians of Sicilian biodiversity: the black lentil type Beluga, small, compact and rich in iron, and the chickpea variety Buseto, a local cultivar at risk of extinction, with high nutritional properties and an intense flavor.

Why is it in the Boniviri network?

Guardian of biodiversity

The farm preserves the Beluga variety of black lentils and the Buseto type chickpeas, grown using sustainable methods.

Respect the territory

It does not have intensive practices, it uses natural and organic methods for the management of its agricultural practices. It is committed to a path of sustainability and social impact.

Professionalism

A small business, yes, but with a great desire to grow and dedicate itself completely to what it does best: farming. With its work it is the guardian of local values and heritage.
