Grown in Noto, in the south of Sicily, Boniviri Sicilian toasted almonds are of the Pizzuta di Avola variety, among the most precious and chosen for Sicilian haute cuisine and pastry. Fruits of the sun and patience of Boniviri farmers, cultivated in full respect of nature and its times, preserving the local agro-food heritage. A small supply of 1 kg in toasted version, thus improving the nutritional and sensory profile of the almond. The high temperature is responsible for the formation of compounds that give the aroma and a strong taste to the almond, as well as favoring the release of polyphenols with antioxidant action, linked to the peel. The toasted almond is more digestible than the natural one, thanks to the formation of microfractures and the increased permeability to gastric juices.
